How to Watch Out-Of-Market NHL Games
ESPN+ will provide access to out-of-market NHL games in the United States for the 2022-2023 season. This season, the service will broadcast over 1,000 out-of-market NHL games. After the puck drops, you may also watch these games live or on-demand. ESPN+ is a premium membership that is available without ESPN. Subscribers to ESPN+ can watch every Live NHL games this season, with the exclusions listed below.
- Games in which one of the competing teams is from your local television market. For instance. You cannot watch Red Wings games on ESPN+ if you live in Detroit.
- This game is not one of the 150 games that will be aired on ESPN, NHL Network, or TNT this season (see national schedule below).
And even though you cannot watch these NHL games LIVE, you can still watch them on ESPN+ after they broadcast.
- All exclusive ESPN games will be rebroadcast shortly after the first broadcast.
- Games on TNT and NHL Network will be accessible 24 hours after their scheduled end.
- Other blacked-out games will be streamed on ESPN+ 24 hours after their scheduled end times.
In addition to providing access to over 1000 out-of-market NHL games, ESPN+ will show 75 games exclusively on Hulu, 11 on ABC, and two on ESPN.
How to Watch Nationally Televised NHL Games
The following is the National television schedule for the 2022-23 NHL games season. Approximately 150 games will also be broadcast on TNT, NHL Network, and ESPN. As for where these games may be seen without cable:
- To watch NHL games on ESPN+, a $9.99 per month ESPN+ membership is required.
- Sling TV’s Orange Package, for $35 a month, gives live access to ESPN, NHL Network, and TNT for streaming NHL games. Nonetheless, Sling lacks regional networks. Therefore, you will need DIRECTV STREAM to watch nationally aired games on ESPN, NHL Network, and TNT, as well as local market team games (Unless you live in the Philadelphia market).
